Projekt Generations Together

Intergenerational dialog and mutual understanding must now be carefully cultivated, especially in a post-pandemic world full of complex socio-political contexts. The “Generations Together” project creates the necessary open and inclusive space for sharing interdisciplinary knowledge across generations and provides a new model of collaboration for other European cities.

The project is led by a curatorial team consisting of renowned Slovak artist Rokko Juhász, renowned performer and founder of the experimental festival “Nomadic Arts Festival” Mads Floor Andersen (DK), social architect and artist Dominika Belanská (SK) and visual artist, performer and architect Viktor Fuček (SK).

The project starts in 2024 with the first creative encounters between representatives of different age groups – from young influencers to members of the University of the Third Age – and continues with a series of artistic, educational and social activities based on a non-hierarchical exchange of experiences between participants from different generations.

Over the course of the project, a living archive of individual and collective artworks created in creative workshops and laboratories with invited artists and facilitators will gradually emerge. It will serve as a social memory to share authentic stories about life in Trenčín.

Through a wide range of activities, games, workshops, dialogues and meetings, the project will create a new network of relationships between the generations living in the city. During the final project in 2026, the results of the intergenerational collaboration will be presented as site-specific artworks at various locations in Trenčín.
